The Pearly King Back In School!
John runs workshops on the history or the Pearly Kings &
Queens and the traditional Cockney songs. He teaches the children to perform his little
play 'Henry and his Friends' about the first Pearly
King, Henry Croft. The children sing the songs with him and he remains in full Pearly
King regalia throughout the day. John will conduct a half hour assembly if required. In
recent months he has conducted successful workshops and shows at Newham Primary School,
Barrow Hedges Primary School and Jerusalem Church of England Primary School Hackney. The
workshops can be in half or full day format. John has long experience of working with
children, holds a full CRB Certificate and has a music diploma from the Open University.
